Oil Filtration Service
COMPACTOR HYDRAULIC OIL CARE
The hydraulic oil in your compactor is the life blood of the equipment. Despite the system being fully enclosed, an operating hydraulic system suffers wear. Wear creates microscopic metal particles which then cause accelerated wear. Heat causes oxidation of fluid. Moisture condenses and mixes with fluid, reducing lubricity possibly combining with oxidation products to form acids. The fluid then circulates all these wear components through the entire system. It is critical to care for your hydraulic oil.
WESSCO offers two solutions to improving your hydraulic oil conditions and improving the operation and life of your equipment.
Oil Change
The hydraulic oil is removed from the system, the oil tank reservoir is cleaned, a new suction strainer is installed, and new oil is returned to the system. The old oil is properly disposed of through a licensed service.
Oil Filtration
The hydraulic oil is pumped out of the system and filtered through a 10 micron filter into clean holding drums. The oil tank reservoir is cleaned, a new suction strainer is installed, and your oil is pumped back through a 10 micron filter and into the oil tank reservoir. The oil is filtered twice. The filtering system eliminates the need for new oil and saves the environmental need to properly dispose of the old oil. The cost of oil filtration is 50% less than having the oil changed.
*If your system oil level is below full we can add more oil per your request at a per gallon fee.
