WESSCO Preventative Maintenance
WESSCO offers a full preventative maintenance program, which provides a thorough inspection of your equipment. The inspection includes testing of the entire hydraulic and electrical system, checking for leaks and weak spots in hoses and the condition of the hydraulic oil. The inspection also includes greasing all moving parts and cleaning out material behind the ram. We provide a detailed report of our findings and, if needed, recommend repairs and a cost estimate. Problems detected during a PM usually result in a much lower repair cost and prevent a valuable loss of downtime to your equipment. This is a primary reason for recommending a minimum of three inspections per year. Many of our customers in Oregon and SW Washington have Preventative Maintenance agreements with WESSCO. These agreements cover from one to multiple machines at each site.
We are flexible with each customer and will tailor a PM agreement to suit your needs. If you would like to have WESSCO provide preventative maintenance on your compactor or baler, please call us to discuss your needs and we will provide a preventative maintenance agreement for your review.
WESSCO Preventative Maintenance Check List
- Run and check overall operation of machine.
- Check hydraulic system for loose fittings, weak hoses, and loss of pressure.
- Reset system pressure and packing pressure to original factory specifications (________) psi.
- Hydraulic oil level.
- Condition of hydraulic oil.
- Inspect electrical control panel of excessive dirt.
- Clean limited switches and contact points.
- Check for loose wire and tighten
- Tighten electrical connections: Motor Starter, PC Board/Terminals , Transformers, Relays
- Inspect and test all safety features for proper function, Mag. Interlocks, E-Stop Button, Hydraulic Safety Valves
- Ensure that the fire plugs are greased with “Never Seize”
- Check alignment of packing ram.
- Check ram guide shoes.
- Check ram common wear points.
- Check condition of ram wiper.
- Remove debris and clean behind ram.
- Inspect entire structure for stress cracks, Location(s) ______________________________
- Lubricate all moving parts and ram guides
- Lubricate door hinges and zirc fittings
- Check and tighten wheel guides and stops
